Preparing for Heralds Point Consultation Table at Lilies War

Before the War[edit | edit source]

Coordinate with the War "Herald in Charge":

  • Tent
  • Getting the supplies out of the Lilies War storage.
  • Plastic tote of office supplies, banners, signs, etc.
  • Big water cooler
  • At least 3 picnic tables, more are always useful.

Then:

  • Get Heralds Point on the master schedule
  • Ask for volunteers, consider off-site support
  • Arrange for reference books: Red Hawk Library, Saker Library, Rouge Sanglier Library.
  • Clarify with Gold Falcon/Saker/Eyas if we can take paid submissions and if Eyas will be by to pick them up.
  • Budget

Packing[edit | edit source]

  • Reference posters, banners, other decorations, whiteboard
  • Copies of submission forms, doodle forms, paperweights
  • Scratch paper, notebooks, clipboards
  • File folders (for each table), manilla envelopes
  • Pens, pencils, heraldic markers, pencil holders
  • Personal heraldic library
  • Backup battery for electronic devices (in 2015, HE Magnus was going to see about getting us power off the shower bldg)
  • Clock with a screw (attach to tent pole or bookshelf)
  • Side table/s, portable book shelves
  • Garbage bags (?)
  • A tarp to provide extra protection to the book totes.
  • Receipt book, lock box

At War[edit | edit source]

  • Set up two picnic tables so that the reference totes are in the middle.
    • Heralds start along the benches closest to the totes, so clients can come and go around the outside.
    • If enough heralds for two/table, can sit kitty-corner from each other for room to spread out books.
  • Have a 3rd picnic table for the voice heralds, water cooler/first aid case, rest area/overflow.
  • Try to keep the tables far enough from the south and west sides of the tent so they stay in the shade.
  • Organize Saker books (Britano-French, Germanic-Scandinavian, Misc./Rules)
  • Top off the watercooler every morning.
  • Get ice AFTER morning camp cry, use chits for "official" ice
