Introduction of Group:[edit | edit source]
The Shire of La Grande Tente encompasses Black Hawk and Bremer Counties in Iowa. This includes the cities of Cedar Falls, Waterloo, and Waverly, Iowa, as well as The University of Northern Iowa (Cedar Falls)// and Wartburg College //(Waverly).

The Shire of La Grande Tente is no longer in active status.
The Shire's name means "the big tent" in reference to the UNI Dome on the University of Northern Iowa campus.
