*I’ve won a number of other bardic contests over the years, some of which I remember best by the prizes I still have around: a cup from the annual Most Depressing Song Contest, a puzzle chair, handwoven trim, a ceramic bottle that came with mead in it, a couple of leather journals, a leather case with writing utensils, a canvas utensil holder with rustic pencils, jewelry, several books, a couple of scrolls, and a copy of the Knowne World Songbook with a hand-carved leather cover. “The Phoenix” won a populace choice in April, 2018. I wrote the song “Lady of the Rose” for an In Praise contest, which it won.
