Gabbai Da'ud ibn Ibrahim al-Sisari

Meaning: "David, son of Abraham, from the city of Sisar"

Commonly called: "Dawi" or "Davi," the Arabic diminutive of "Da'ud"

Preferred title: "Gabbai" (pronounced "guh-BYE"), a Jewish community leader often tasked with helping a Rabbi with the Torah

Turn-of-the-millennium Jewish Buyyid Persian courtier who has traveled among the Rus'. Based loosely on the life of Ahmed ibn Fadlan.

Joined the SCA at Gryphon's Fest 2013, receiving Newcomer Mug from Damien I and Issabell I.
Attended Gulf Wars 2015 as first foreign war, taking a squire's belt from Syr Duncan Eardstapa before the Ravine Battle.
