My son took a step on the path he has chosen for himself to become a Kings' man. I was privileged to be there at the ceremony and to be able to 'foster' my son to another's war band. Oaths and gifts were exchanged and at the end as is tradition in Troll's Haven, the sword was thrust into the earth in order for the student to grasp, pull and realize the full meaning of his oath, for with that action, there is no turning back. With that final sealing of oaths, duly witnessed by six good warriors, Bjame Rorikson is fostered and squired to Sir Duncan of Skeen of Calontir. I am proud of my son and his choices.
