Arts and Sciences[edit | edit source]
Over 19 classes were scheduled throughout the event, ranging from What IS the SCA to how to choose a name to making glass beads (lamp making) and even silk painting and weaving. Participants of those classes were encouraged to work on their items through out the day if possible and turn them in for one of the Arts and Sciences competitions, "I Made it today!" which was graciously judged by His Royal Majesty, Agamemnon Platylithodae whom we were honored to have in attendance at our first event as an Incipient Shire of Calontir!
Competition/s[edit | edit source]
- "I Made it Today!" was a group of submissions of the event's participants that attended classes on Saturday and continued the work they started in a class of their choice and submitted their work for judging by His Royal Majesty. There were several participants, but the winner was Grimwulf of Villa Frumentaria.
- "My First ____" was an event for people working in a specific craft for the first time and that was determined by populace vote throughout the day. Lady Gisele de la Fontaine was the winner of that event.
Martialate[edit | edit source]
The heat of the day kept us from holding some of the fighting events that we wanted to. However, we had some extraordinary fighters that showed up, representing several Shires and Baronies of Calontir, and several Shires and Baronies of Northshield. It was glorious and we were honored to have so many distinguished fighters, including His Royal Majesty Agamemnon Platylithodae of Calontir and His Royal Majesty of Northshield on the field at the same time.
