Comments and Impressions:[edit | edit source]

I would like to thank everyone who worked a gate shift today for volunteering your time during Kingdom A&S; especially Mia, who stepped in at the last minute to run gate after I caught the plague. YIS, Sarra

Today spent at Kingdom A&S was what my little flagging spirit needed to feel inspired and reinvigorated. It was so good to see all the marvelous entries. Thank you to all the entrants and to those whom I had the pleasure of co-judging with and to those stepped up to make sure the event ran smoothly. Thank you also, to all who took the time to chat with my fella. He felt welcome and spent our drive home talking about what he saw and what he might be interested in doing himself. I am sorry I couldn't stay for court. I was beat and my painkillers were wearing off so I gave into the ice pack and ibuprofen that were calling to me. -Moire inghean Neill

Kingdom A&S was amazing. I'm still tired even though I fell asleep from exhaustion early. Thank you to everyone who helped make sure I didn't have to throw away too much of my cooking entry. -Agnes

Calontir,
First (adjusting my laurel wreath :)), let me just say that whenever I go to an event like Kingdom A&S/Tri-Levels or Queen's Prize, I am always astounded by the amount of sheer talent on display. This year's Kingdom A&S/Tri-Levels was no exception! I feel truly blessed to be part of this Kingdom's talented and creative community of talented artists and skilled craftspeople.
(Switching to Event Steward hat) My thanks go to all who attended, entered the competitions, and judged. I hope that we provided with adequate space and an environment worthy of your displays. We had 181 attendants. My thanks to Her Majesty Magdalena for travelling to join us for the day and to Their Highnesses Duncan and Ylva for joining us as well. It was our Barony's honor to welcome you and we hope that we provided adequately for your needs. My thanks to everyone who attended!
I must admit now that I dropped the ball completely when I was making announcements at Court yesterday evening. HL Allison provided me the names of the fighters who won the tournaments she was kind enough to run for us, and I, being tired and airheaded, forgot to announce those names. I apologize for my error and for slighting the fighters who came to our event. I know a post on Facebook is not the same as hearing one's name in Court, but I hope that by posting those names here, I can partially make amends for my error.
Two authorizations were done yesterday, on for the marshalate and one sword and shield authorizations. The Man at Arms Tourney was won by Crispin. Randlar won the unbelted Tourney, and Auxilius was victorious in the Swiss 5 Tournament! Please congratulate these victors when next you see them.
My thanks to my co-steward, Mistress Aidan, who worked tirelessly yesterday, allowing me the time to be a Championship entrant. Volusia Zoe (our newest armiger - congrats on your AOA) provided us with a tasty and filling lunch. HL Alison ran the fighting, and Lord Otto and HL Jane coordinated the set up and organization of the site. Mistress Sarra got everything set up for gate, but was unable to attend, and Mia stepped up and ran Gate on site. I know this post is long so I will wrap up by thanking everyone who came out to help set up Friday evening and everyone who stayed after Court to help with clean-up! And everyone who worked shifts at Gate or the inn! Your work was appreciated and did not go unnoticed.
I will post pictures of the lost and found items later today.
I thank Their Excellencies of Forgotten Sea for allowing the privilege of being on the stewards for the event and I thank everyone who attended.
Mellitus of Rouncivale, OL
