  • (I’m including a lot of details here mostly to help me remember and keep track. Please pardon the list of every little achievement.)
  • I first heard about the SCA in the 1980s, but started playing in 2001 in the Outlands.

  • Served as an archery marshal and achieved the rank of Forester in the Outlands
  • 2005-2015 only attended a few events. Busy with divorce, remarriage, moving home to Missouri and making babies.
  • Valor/Bardic Bedlam 2016--return to the SCA. Named royal skald to TRM Logan and Ylva.

  • “Calontir, le vrai Pays de mon Couer”, the three-part 14th-century rondeau with French lyrics that I composed for Kingdom A&S was performed by a choir during the coronation of Damien II and Isabell, at Her Majesty’s request, July 2017

  • Was awarded the prize for the allied kingdoms in the 2019 Gulf Wars A&S Champions Battle for my series of musical compositions exploring the development of polyphony in western Europe
  • Recruited Calontir bards for The Knowne World Bardcast’s Season 5: Episode 5B: The Calontir Episode: Part Two: The Heart, The Land featuring solo performances including my song “We’re Calontir”

  • I’ve won a number of other bardic contests over the years, some of which I remember best by the prizes I still have around: a cup from the annual Most Depressing Song Contest, a puzzle chair, handwoven trim, a ceramic bottle that came with mead in it, a couple of leather journals, a leather case with writing utensils, a canvas utensil holder with rustic pencils, jewelry, several books, a couple of scrolls, and a copy of the Knowne World Songbook with a hand-carved leather cover. “The Phoenix” won a populace choice in April, 2018. I wrote the song “Lady of the Rose” for an In Praise contest, which it won.
  • My song “The Phoenix” was included in Season 4: Episode 8B: Powerful Women Volume III of the Knowne World Bardcast, June 27, 2019
  • Archery Champion for the Shire of Oakheart, September 2019
  • Calon Lily, December 2019
  • 2020-2021 was active in the virtual interkingdom bardic community
  • Featured as the elf queen in Drake Oranwood’s video of his song Tam Lin of the Elves, October 2021.

  • Part of the Journeyman Concert at the First Bardic War, May 2021
  • Calontir General for the First Bardic War, May 2021
  • Archery Champion again for the Shire of Oakheart, October 2021

  • Calontir Arts & Sciences Champion, July 2022. Entries 15th-Century Motet with four-part contrapuntal harmony and Latin lyrics, 15th-century arrows that I forged bodkin points for, and Costume Design with research and patterns for a three-layer 15th-century French noblewoman’s outfit with shoes and accessories.
