Other Highlights:

Lutherball

  • Per Drix - "At Gulf Wars in 1999, there had been immense rain. Tristram and I were the last two to pay site fee on Thursday morning. Immediately after we handed over our money, the autocrat came in saying, “War is cancelled. No more site fee.”

The rain continued. People were bored. Lutherball, named after His Majesty, evolved to fill the vacuum as battles had been cancelled. A vague pastiche of Calvinball, Blood of Heroes, and Australian Rules Football, fueled by ennui and booze."

  • Per Luther - "And we took advantage of all the sodden siege ammo and thrown weapons scattered across the field. (As well as any unattended equipment on wheels ..... the viking longship)"... "It might be a weather-dependent rule set."
  • "First, you need a 24 pack of toilet paper, each roll tightly wrapped in duct tape. . ."
  • Per Aislin - "Seriously though I think it was very similar to baseball but with veggies and there was something about the degree of mess impacting how many bases you could run?"
  • "I'm OK, but I'm covered in cake!"
