(Vuh-loose-iuh Zo)
You can just call me Zoe!
Volusia is my nomen, or Roman surname/family name. Zoe is my cognomen, or given name.
'Domina' is essentially the Roman equivalent of Lady (a feminine form of Dominus, or "master of the house".)
Persona[edit | edit source]
- Imperial Roman era, around the reign of emperor Tiberius. She is a Greek freedwoman freed by and likely married to someone of the Volusus gens, and probably someone of the mid-low patrician class. Something like a local politician. She takes frequent vacations in Alexandria.
Activities[edit | edit source]
I like heraldry, and enjoy drawing for submissions. Here is the page of my contributions to the Traceable Heraldic Art Project: http://heraldicart.org/volusia-zoe/
My current main focus is metalworking and wire wrapping to make jewlery. I have amateurishly illuminated and scribed two books (a Calontir royal roll of arms and an original work), and I make all of my own garb and jewelry. I also have dabbled in embroidery, yarn spinning, cooking, glass blowing, and probably other things that I cannot remember.
As far as research goes, I greatly enjoy Ancient Egypt and Rome, but I also have very specific interests in a wide range of time periods.
