Per Brock Hanke (Master Juan): "The first awards we gave out were what are now the "top tier" of Calontir awards: The Cross, Lily, Silver Hammer, and Huscarl. That doesn't sound like much, but it was revolutionary. In the Middle Kingdom of the time, there were awards that were not peerages, but they were also not equal to each other on the Order of Precedence, like the peerages are. When we decided to take our first tier of awards and make them equal to each other, and listed in the OP by the date you had received the FIRST of these, that was revolutionary. You can find evidence of this in the Calontir OP. Brummbar was never a Fyrdman, because he was a Huscarl before the Fyrd ever even existed. Master RSVP and I don't have Swans, because we already had Lilys. Elwyn never had a Torse. William of Bellwood does not have a Leather Mallet. The Second Tier of awards were created during the Principality.

  • Andrixos note: "the first Fyrdmen were created July 29, 1979. The Principality was created in September 1981 (my third event)"
